March 04,2010: Vikrama Simhapuri University Vice-Chancellor C.R.Visweswara Rao inaugurated the Second Annual Sports and Games meet in the city on Thursday.
On a different wicket: Vikrama Simhapuri University Vice-Chancellor C.R. Visweswara Rao inaugurating the 2nd Annual Games and Sports Meet of the university in Nellore.
Speaking on the occasion, the V-C said sports and games should be a part of life for every student which gives good physique and health. The development of holistic personality of students is important and the college life should give a comprehensive experience in life, he said.
Mr. Rao said the games and sports will help the budding professionals to develop team spirit and will teach on how to face challenges in life.
Registrar V.Narayana Reddy said the VSU management is taking all steps to mould the students into good citizens and excel in their lives. The life in university is expected to give the students a variegated cultural experience and exposure here, he said.
A series of events would be conducted in the sports and games meet in the university for students, faculty and non-teaching staff, said the registrar.
