Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has assured to do all possible help from the government for the progressive plans of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU).
Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor G.Rajarami Reddy, who assumed office recently, called on the Chief Minister along with his wife G.Usha Rani and university Registrar V.Narayana Reddy at Hyderabad on Wednesday. The V-C thanked Mr.Kiran Kumar Reddy for his appointment and assured to develop the new university in all spheres.
The university officials urged the Chief Minister to grant more funds for construction of the buildings and sanction teaching and non-teaching posts for imparting quality education to the students.
Mr.Kiran Kumar Reddy asked the VSU authorities to portray the heritage and culture of Nellore district, which is having great history, in the architecture plans of the institution buildings and assured of all help for the uplift of the new university.
The VC and Registrar along with Nellore MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy and MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy met Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha and Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and explained the plans for improvement of the varsity.
Mr.Narayana Reddy said that a meeting will be held on November 24, to finalize the tenders for construction of buildings at the site allotted for the university. Officials of various departments of the district will also attend the meeting, said Mr.Reddy.
The V-C and Registrar also met the Higher Education, Technical Education and other department's officials and sought their cooperation in all future endeavours.
