New Vice-Chancellor for VSU

G. Rajarami Reddy, a professor in Zoology, took charge as second Vice-Chancellor of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) in his chambers here on Friday. He signed on the first file to pay salaries to the administrative staff of the University.
A native of Vendodu village of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district, Mr. Reddy worked for a brief period in Kavali Post Graduate Centre and joined as assistant professor in Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati. He specialised in Neuroscience, Toxicology and Pharmacology.
Dr. Rajarami Reddy took the blessings of his parents G. Sidda Reddy and mother Ratnamma in the office before assuming charge. VSU Registrar V. Narayana Reddy, Principal T. Sudha, Kavali PG Centre Special Officer Shiva Shankar, D. K. W. Government Women's College Principal Dr. A. Sarada Devi, VSU media co-ordinator K. Narasimha Rao welcomed the new Vice-Chancellor amid vedic chants.
The Vice-Chancellor performed pujas before assuming office and formally met Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy at his residence and sought his co-operation for the development of the new university. Later, he visited different sections in the office and introduced the teaching and non-teaching staff.
The university management will take steps to recruit persons for the vacant teaching and non-teaching posts for better functioning and start new courses which are job oriented in Nellore district, he said.
