BIZ GITA 2011: Students urged to be result-oriented

Management students of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) discussed on latest courses in MBA, importance of field visits and the placements being offered by different companies.

The senior and junior students along with the faculty made a platform to share their views on higher studies and the new companies coming up in the area, in the ‘Biz Gita – 2011' programme organised by MBA department at the university seminar hall in Nellore on Thursday.

The young managers under the guidance of MBA in charge Head of the Department, Suja.S.Nair and event coordinator K.Vijay Kumar arranged four events – ‘Biz-Quiz', ‘Ad-kZap', ‘Innovative Product' and ‘Young Manager', at the one-day management gala.

Addressing the students VSU Vice-Chancellor G.Rajarami Reddy asked the management students to be more practical and result-oriented to face the competition in the market.

He stressed the need for organising more field visits and for taking up projects with innovative ideas.

VSU Registrar V.Narayana Reddy said the seminars, workshops and interactive sessions will sharpen the young minds and congratulated the organisers for arranging the meet.

Stating that the opportunities always galore for talented professionals in the market, Mr.Reddy said the university has designed the curriculum in such a way that the students will get jobs immediately after completion of the courses.

Many students who passed out from VSU acquired jobs in reputed companies, he said and assured to extend full support for the staff and faculty in organising more programmes.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar distributed prizes to the students who excelled in the events.
