February 14, 2012:
Research becomes more insightful and disciplined if the right research methodology is adopted, said G. Rajarami Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU).
Speaking after inaugurating the Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR) sponsored four-day national workshop on “Critical Perspectives of Research Methodology” at VSU, Prof. Rajarami Reddy said that the research methodology gives a critical dimension to research and brings effectiveness to research.
He exhorted the faculty of other departments to be competitive in organising academic events for consistent learning process.
Prof. V. Narayana Reddy, Registrar, said that the universities feel the priority to address the maladies creeping into research just by returning to the basics of research methodology. The theme of the workshop is appropriate since the statistical variations in research have grown dynamic and are trend-setting, he said.
P. Rajasekhara Reddy, former registrar, Dravidian University, said that statistics had become very vital in the quantification of data in today's research.
