The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of computers and skills of programming.
UNIT-I
Computer Hardware and Software: Types of computers, and software data representation for computers, Input and output devices and storage devices, Business data communication: Network topologies, LAN, WAN, Network Management, Distributed data processing.
UNIT-II
Introduction to Internet, Reengineering, Business process outsourcing, call centre management, E-Commerce, E-Business and ERP evolution, growth and advantages
UNIT-III
Program development process, Flowcharts, C language, Fundamentals of C, Branching and loops in C language.
UNIT-IV
Arrays, pointers and functions in C language.
(students are expected to execute atleast 10 programmes in the computer laboratory)
