The V-C, along with Registrar V. Narayana Reddy, visited the spot valuation centre at Dodla Kousalyamma Government Women's College in the city on Monday. The officials verified the OMR sheets at the centre and took note of the duties being performed by the teachers.

Addressing the examiners on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that students write the examinations after doing a lot of hard work and asked the teachers to take care while correcting the answer scripts.

The teachers should ensure that every answer in the script is valued and should be careful while adding the total marks obtained by the student, Prof. Rao said.

Maintaining that judicious valuation will keep the morals of the profession high,

Prof. Rao said that sincere students get disappointed and loose their confidence if teachers do not evaluate their scripts properly.

VSU is organising a spot valuation for the first time, the V-C said and asked the teachers to cooperate with the university in announcing the results as early as possible.

No cellphones

Mr. Narayana Reddy directed the spot valuation centre Regional Coordinating Officer A. Sarada Devi to see to it that cellphones were not used at the Spot Valuation Centre and said that the university will not compromise with the quality of work.

A total of 8,975 papers would be corrected in 15 days and the university has deputed 138 examiners for the work, said Ms. Sarada Devi.
