First semester of M.Sc (Chemistry), M.A (English), M.Sc (Marine Biology), MCA and Third semester MBA, MCA, M.A English, M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry), M.Sc. (Marine Biology) PG results of Vikrama Simhapuri University were formally released by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. C.R. Visweswara Rao at the Administration Block, Dargamitta on 17th May 2011.
Cent percent result in the First semester was recorded in M.Sc (Chemistry) and M.A (English), while 80% and 77.7% were recorded in M.Sc (Marine Biology) and MCA respectively. The total aggregate of the First semester results stood at 86.67%.
The Third semester results are encouraging since cent percent results are recorded in MCA, M.A (English), M.Sc (Organic Chemistry), M.Sc (Marine Biology) while MBA recorded 94.1% with the total aggregate standing at 91.69%.
Of the 164 students appeared for III semester examinations, 160 students passed and of the 90 students appeared for I semester examinations 78 students passed in which the girl students faring well in the overall tally.
Talking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that it is yet another bright academic year from the point of view of the pass percentages of the students. He said that the University is following the Cumulative Grade Point Average as per the new UGC norms and the students’ marks include both the Grade Points and the marks in the subjects.
Prof. V. Narayana Reddy, Registrar was with the Vice-Chancellor at the release of the results. Dr. Ch. Venkatrayulu, Coordinator, Examinations, the executives and staff of the Examination Section were present when the results were released.
