May 07, 2010: The management of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) which is planning to start MBA (Tourism Management) from this academic year will have an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management (IITTM), Gwalior.
VSU Vice-Chancellor C.R. Visweswara Rao and Registrar V. Narayana Reddy held discussions with IITTM Director Manjula Chowdary, Academic Affairs Head Sandeep and faculty Nimit Chowdary in Nellore a couple of days ago.
The tourism management officials said the IITTM is constructing a tourism college in ten acres at Venkatachalam in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. Efforts were being made to start classes from this academic year, said the institute officials. The university will have an MoU with the IITTM for inclusion of local history in curriculum, exploration of avenues, faculty exchange, placements and other aspects, said the registrar.
