Prabhakara Rao takes charge as in-charge Vice-Chancellor of VSU

N. Prabhakara Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) who is the in-charge Vice-Chancellor of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) assumed office on Thursday in Nellore.
Mr. Rao, an alumnus of Venkatagiri Raja's College, appeared to be in a jubilant mood as he entered V.R. College where VSU was conducting classes.
Recalling his school and college days in the institution, Mr. Prabhakara Rao said he was very happy to be the in-charge VC for the new university.
Complimenting C.R. Visweswara Rao, who completed his term and Registrar V. Narayana Reddy for bringing good reputation to VSU in a short period, Mr. Prabhakara Rao promised to take all measures for the development of Vikrama Simhapuri University and sought the cooperation of the faculty and other staff in this regard.
Tenders
The university management will complete the tender process and take up construction of the buildings immediately. Already, a master plan for the new buildings has been approved by the Master Plan Committee, he said. Stating that the conduct of examinations was a tough task for any university, the in-charge Vice-Chancellor said the new university has conducted the recent degree and post-graduate examinations very strictly with meagre staff.
Mr. Rao along with Registrar V. Narayana Reddy and College Development Council Dean T. Sudha visited the class rooms, labs and the library in the university.
Later, the in-charge Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar visited the site allocated for VSU at Kakuturu village. He also visited the MBA, MCA and Tourism and Travel Management examinations centre.
