June 17, 2010: The VSU management held a meeting with PG professional colleges located in Nellore district on Wednesday. VSU Vice-Chancellor C.R. Visweswara Rao and Registrar V. Narayana Reddy discussed about affiliation, curriculum, fee reimbursement, faculty, labs and infrastructure and on steps to prevent ragging in PG colleges.
Mr. Rao said the institution managements should follow the guidelines of the UGC in designing the curriculum and maintain standards.
The managements should display the details of the fee particulars, repaid by the government, dues and other details and should not harass the students or parents as per the directions of the State Human Rights Commission and the government, he said.
The professional colleges should organise seminars and arrange field tours to enrich the knowledge of students and take measures to co nduct the examinations strictly, said the registrar.
